How will Gears of War 2 look on 4:3 monitor with VGA cabel.?

I have a 1280*1024 LCD monitor hooked up to my xbox with a VGA cabel. Gears of war is in wide screen and looks nice. I've noticed a lot of other games take advantage of the full screen, but the picture is not as detailed. Will Gears 2 work the same as gears 1?

It will look much better considering it has much better graphics
