I received a Razr phone, how to switch my phone over?

I received a T-Mobile Razr, but I go through Verizon. I was wondering if my phone could get switched to the T-Mobile Razr or if I would have to buy a "Verizon" brand Razr.

Arent they all the same anyways??

No they are not the same. Tmobile is a GSM carrier (they use sim cards) and verizon operates on CDMA (no sim cards). They are 2 incompatible technologies and each other's phones won't work with any other carrier.

well the T-mobile razr supports 850/900/1800/1900 MHz frequencys and the verizon network runs on CDMA 850 and 1900 MHz frequencys so no you cannot use a GSM phone on a CDMA network because for starters the difference in frequency and secondly GSM use a sim card and CDMA use an ESN (Electronic Serial Number). you need to purchase a CDMA RAZR if you wish to use it on a CDMA network.

    Hope this helps
