Get rid of/hide cold sore?

How do you quickly get rid of a cold sore?

And how could I cover them up, I have one on the inside of my nose (that doesn't really show), a little tiny bump on on my upper lip (shows a bit), one on the middle of my lip (does show), and one that's almost gone on the side of my lip.

Thanks in advance!

If you are getting bad attacks of cold sores like that you need to talk to your doctor about a prescription for Valtrex, which is an anti-viral medication that stops cold sores in their tracks. It will lessen your outbreaks, and make them much less severe when you do get a cold sore. None of the other treatments come close to the effectiveness of Valtrex, not the ointment Zovirax, and certainly not Abreva or anything else. Ask your doctor about it to see if you would be a good candidate for this medication. My doctor prescribed it for me for cold sores about five years ago and after taking it only a couple of times I hardly ever get a cold sore any more, and before Valtrex I was having several attacks a year. On the rare occasions that I do get one now, it is gone almost immediately when I take the medication - in about a day.

Cold sores are difficult, if not impossible, to hide. I have occasionally been successful with a liquid concealer when the cold sore was almost healed.

Are you sure they are cold sores?...If they are it is a type of Herpes...do not kiss anyone as you would spread the virus. To get rid of them go to your local pharmacist and ask for Spirit of Camphor. It does sting if your cold sore is open but will dry it up. They is also lots of other things on the market for cold sores. To cover them up well you can try some foundation or cover up that helps with acne.

    Good Luck

If you go to a health food store, like GNC or Vitamin World and buy Lysine... (Pronounced: Lie-scene). It is an amino acid, lysine is naturally occuring in some foods, but often in times of stress your body is put under physical stress and infections/cold sores can occur.

I guarantee if you buy some Lysine, the amino acid your cold sore will clear up right away. Just follow the recommended amount on the back of the pill bottle. Like I said, it does occur naturally in the foods we eat so you are not injesting something that you don't already have in your body, you just don't have enough of it. It also takes away canker sores.

Hope this helps! Let me know. Oh yea, it will start to work the very same day you take it.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).

Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.

The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.
