For Young Adult -- Look For Me by Moonlight is a creepy read.

For Adult -- House of Leaves is disturbing. I could not look at my walls without wanting to measure them.

i have no idea what you usually read but i loved the farseer trilogy by robin hobb...some of the best books ive ever read. there first one is called assassin's apprentice.
