Well, if you live in the suburbs, you need to drive or else you won't be able to go anywhere. No, no. Think about it this way. What would you do if you couldn't take your girlfriend to the theaters or your wife out on a long weekend? It was hard for me at first because I had very little confidence and a very strict dad. Plus, the high-ways frightened me. But, after a few lessons with the school's instructor (who has seen everything out there and knew exactly where I got stuck), I knew it was doable. It took me a few years of practice, like in collge, to feel confident because I'm the "cautious" type. The key is to go with the flow and to know your directions ahead of time, in other words, be prepared and then try to relax. Now, I'm an adult and I've been driving for 20 years! If you asked me now, how difficult it is to drive a car? I'd tell you, it's like walking. But, you've got to start somewhere, right? So, try it while you've got instructors and parents to cover for you. You'll need it in life.
