Just one in five fans of the Premier League title-holders comes from Manchester.

And minnows Hull City topped the league — with 88 per cent of supporters living in the area.

Researchers for Top Up TV, who quizzed 1,042 supporters across the UK, found bigger clubs had wider fanbases.

Liverpool had just 22 per cent local fans, while Chelsea scored 49 per cent and Arsenal 53.

Topping the league for support behind Hull were Stoke City, Wigan Athletic and Newcastle. Hull fan Jack Hornby said: “Everyone knows Man United fans are fair-weather supporters who come from London, America or Japan.”

For what it's worth i don't really have an opinion on it.
Update: Sir Dave , because as you know it's a topical subject, and that's why i done it . it was in the paper this week.
