if you get an opportunity for a ceo job for a comapny would you take it?

if you get an opportunity for a company that is alreayd in distress to become their ceo would you take this opportunity considering that in a few months there is huge chances that this company can become bankrupt..or would you just refuse?

    Depends on the opportunity. If there is a real turnaround possibility and the compensation is commensurate with the job, sure. Lee Iacocca turned around Chrysler for $1 per year, paid back the federal loans early and made a fortune on stock options based upon his performance. On the other hand, you have to consider how this job will impact your resume and career. Every role is scrutinized at this level so hopping around is not an option. If you succeed at this role, you're going on to a much larger company as CEO. If you fail, you'll be just another VP in no time.
