Are there any programs similar to adobe after effects?

That does the same thing or similar for a cheaper price? or free? I can't afford to pay 1,000 dollar on it

Yes, there's a MAGIC free program that does everything you could absolutely want for free!

Seriously though, people pay $1000 for it all the time because it's totally worth it. It's professional grade video effects. The only thing I can think of that's free is Windows Movie Maker, and you probably know how incredibly limited that program is.

    3D Animation and Visual Effects:

    Blender; $0 or $10/month

As a hobbyist, freelancer, or small to medium sized studio you can use Blender as a low-cost alternative to Maya ($125/month), ZBrush ($800), and After Effects ($20/month).

Blender is FREE with full functionality and you're allowed to use Blender in any production without having to pay for anything.

I can't give you a link to a torrent where you could download it. So I'm not telling you to google (bittorrent and the bay) or to search the first result's web site for Adobe After Effects. and, whatever you do don't download one of their torrents from a trusted uploader. The ones with the pink and purple skull next to their user names. Cause I can't tell you to do that here because that would be against the rules.

Blender is a free animation program and will offer you many effects similar to After Effects. It is complicated to learn, but for a free program, it is quite powerful.

If you're a student you can get it pretty cheap. Not sure that there are many easy-to-user product that offer similar functionality for less $$ you could try the Shake & Motion extensions for Apple Final Cut Studio, various products from eyeonline.com or Autodesk Combustion. But I think all of those would run you $1k+.

Apple Shake was discontiuned a few years back so is now extremely cheap(compared to its original cost) but has no support.

Combustion is about hte only other one i know.

Oh! theres T@B Zwiestien, its freeware, so expect it to have several grands less features n quality, but if you want basic sfx then its fine.

But unfourtabetly if you want hollywood/TV grade sfx then expect to pay for it.
