Is there a synonym for said/asked starting with K?

I need a synonym for said, asked, whatever just something you can use in dialogue that starts with K and I need it fast!!!! Please help me!!

    how about "kid" like "he kidded her"

    or "knit" like "she was nervous so she knitted her words together quickly"

    or kiss

    like her voice was so soft, she kissed her words

    I haven't been able to find one, but the first link below is to a reverse dictionary (you type the definition into the search engine, and then it will give you a list of words that have that definition). I've tried it myself and I haven't found one beginning with K. Maybe you can find it? I hope it helps you!

    The second link is to a site with unusual words. There really is no search engine, but you can read the definitions if you're desperate - maybe there is one hidden there? I've got it on the "K" page.

    No. Have no idea what you're talking about.

    Kindle means to begin, as in a fire or to ignite.
