ipconfig /all will not work in my command prompt?

Whenever I type in 'ipconfig /all' in my command it pops up and then exits by it self, and I dont know what to do..

    Click 'start' then 'run' and type 'cmd' press enter now run 'ipconfig /all'

    Try a specific command afterwards, like for example when you set up a router sometimes you have to release the ip adress and renew it.

    ex: ipconfig release

    ipconfig renew

    there are lots of different commands for it obviously, and within a few mins you can find what you're looking for

    If you have vista, it's cmd.
