Is Jay Leno Being Forced To Leave NBC Cause He Supports McCain?

Update:

I don't believe they allow McCain supporters to work for NBC.

NO. ITS LENO'S OWN DECISCION. His retirement was announced even before McCain was nominated for the Republican side. Probably he will end up on ABC or something too, making even more money and being a lead in for Jimmey Kimmel.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR INFORMATION??

Leno's retirement was announced over a year ago, and is because he CHOOSES to retire. There is absolutely no connection to McCain in the least. This is as bad as the idiots who are boycotting Oprah, on their delusion that she refused to have Palin on the show. Never mind that anyone can look back, to her statement.. BEFORE Palin, that she would not have ANY candidate on the show during the elections. No refusal to Palin ever HAPPENED. It is completely fabricated, and they don't even believe it, when there is evidence to show it.

If Leno supports McCain, obviously your conclusion is based on total distortions.

As I understand it, NBC had enough worries over ratings for the Late Show that they made deals with Leno to open up the Tonight Show spot in 2009, and with Conan O'Brien promising he would succeed to it if he stayed in his present role until then.

I doubt that political positions are a big deal for NBC, as long as Jay continues to make fun of both sides in his monologues. If they put up with his other stock source of jokes (NBC's low ratings), they'll hardly have an issue with anything else he says.

No, Leno was being forced out because NBC wants the younger Conan O'Brien for many years to come. Leno supporting McCain has nothing to do with it. The decision to not renew Leno was made long before he was the Republican nominee.
