Why do many people answer questions with the phrase "Google it"?

More than 90% of the questions here are Google-able.

And this website would be usless if the phrase "Google it" was valid to be used here!

Those people should not receive two points and should be reported. It's really annoying.

What do you think?

The way I see it;

the question here are either against rules because they are chatty,

or they are Google-able.

    it's probably because people ask some stupid questions here, a lot of which they could have gotten the answers to if they had googled it. this is a great site for asking questions you want ppl's opinions on, but google is a great option for quick, valid answers.

    Because it's a world of laziness. The asker and the answerer are too lazy to look something up. If people would learn to be more resourceful, they should be able to find almost anything.

    it could be that they don't have an answer for the question, or it could be they want some of these people to learn to look it up for themselves
