Good Horror Movies-10 points !?

I'm going to have a few friends over my house to watch some really good horror movies !

Tell me some really good horror movies ?

Movies that really scared the mess out of you !

They can range from the 1980's until now.

No corny stuff !

A good list is advised !

Hey Shayla: Although many before me have named some really good ones, allow me to interject a few of my own, as well as some listed.

The Exorcist: It took me 3 times to watch that to the end, 8, 10, and finally at 14.

Salem's Lot: A Real Vampire Flick

    Carrie is a good one

Stephen King's IT: A clown that will make you not like clowns any longer.

    After Midnight

    Candyman

I like the second Friday The 13th...It had more surprises.

Near Dark and The Lost Boys are two additional good Vamp flicks.

The Thing is pretty good too.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but the remake is descent.

The Hitcher with C.Thomas Howell is good...waaaaaaaayyyyy better than the remake.

The Evil Dead...That will have you thinking

I have more, but I hope this helps.

You need to include the 70s in that list because that's when some of the BEST horror movies were made.

    Some of my favs:

    Carrie (1976)

    The Exorcist (1973)

    The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original-1974)

    Halloween(1978)

Check out the pics from "Carrie."

Halloween (only the first one though, the rest are crap!)

    Hostel

    Saw

The Shining (If you're looking for something slightly weird as well as scary)

The Exorcist (Popular, although it never really appealed to me.)

    Candyman

    Hellraiser

A Nightmare on Elm Street!!!!! (If you wanna laugh at horror gone wrong!!)

Oh I've just seen Alex H's list above when I posted mine, thought I should add that "Carrie" is aboslutely brilliant! I love that film, scary as hell.

It's a foreign film called the Orphanage, won loads of awards. Not many bother to watch it just because it's subtitled.

Seen all the horror and scary films and this is far the best. Also made me cry at the end. Very atmospheric film.
