Audition monologue for a musical?

My high school is doing a musical, the Mystery of Edwin Drood, and i need a good solid monologue to do. Preferably female and with a british accent, as it is a Dickens play. Thaaaaaaaankkk YOU! :)

i would definately try some oscar wilde. the wit is classic and wins the judges every time. try the importance of being earnest and probably hon. gwendolyn fairfax as the role.
