How can you transfer a program onto a flash drive using windows xp?

I was wondering if anyone could explain in detail how to transfer a full program from your computer using windows xp onto a flash drive. I would really appreciate the help. Thank You.

The easiest way to do this is to actually install the program directly to your usb drive. Just run the installer program (or put in the installer cd, whatever the case may be) and specify that you'd like it to install the program to your usb drive instead of C:/Program Files.

If this doesn't work for you, you have to find the program folder, which will most likely be found in C:/Program Files, and copy it to your drive. To run the program, go into that folder and double click the file that ends in .exe .

Go to the location of the file on your computer.

Right-Click it and then press copy.

    Go to Start, My Computer

Then find the icon of the flash drive you inserted.

    Double Click it.

Right-click anywhere in the window that pops up and click paste.
