Should I buy an Equinox or CRV? Both are preowned and the Chevy is bigger & more affordable yet Hondas solid?

    I would get the CR-V.

You are paying more for the Honda because they hold their value better and are much more reliable.

The Equinox has been on Consumer Reports "Used cars to avoid" list 2 of the past 3 years.

The choice here is easy. Pay a little more upfront, or pay a lot more down the road.

Of course, with any used car you purchase, make sure to get an independent mechanic to inspect it. A used vehicle is only as good as how well the prior owner maintained it.

You're comparing apples to oranges. The Equinox is a whole lot more vehicle than the Honda. I'd go with the CRV as it's more fuel efficient, has a better resale value, and is cheaper to maintain. Good luck!
