Soulmate, Huntress, The Awakening, The Fury, The conflict - all by utilising L.J Smith Ritual, Initiation, Legacy, Bloodlust by utilising Alex Duval those are o.k. ,yet of direction Twilight might make all of them appear as if bedtime memories indexed under are greater, yet in assessment to the 1st ones I gave those are ideal for a greater mature following: Queen of the Damned, The Vampire Lestat, Blood Canticle, Merrick, Blood and Gold- Anne Rice Anne Rice has an excellent volume of vampire books yet no longer all of them have romance in them, that is there besides the incontrovertible fact that it is not the focal area of the story

Try Tantalize. I heard it is a lot like Twilight and also the Silver Kiss.

'The Last Vampire' by Christopher Pike.

Exciting, dramatic, action-packed, with just the right amount of humour and romance, and with an in-depth history that makes it so believable.

There are lots of sequels, too.
