Do you like sad classical music?

I love it but my mum finds it odd that i play it all the time because it makes her depressed, but i don't really get depressed....it's like the music is speaking for me...do you feel the same?

It's beautiful in a way..here some examples.:

It's a question of moods. I listen to sad music when I'm feeling depressed so as not to feel lonely. Even my mum thinks like your mum, sadly but fortunately my dad is a sad music fan as well!! Try the theme from Forrest Gump - it'not very much sad but I consider it nostalgic!!

I am a fan of the Moonlight sonata myself as well. For some sad and sometimes bitter-sounding music, try Music of the Night from The Phantom of the Opera. Also try listening to the Pavane in F# minor by Gabriel Fauré and Tchaikovsky's String Quartet No. 1.

If you like Samuel Barber's Adagio for strings then I urge you to try his fellow American composer David Diamond's second symphony, I promise you, it will blow you away! The first and third movements are particularly moving.

You said it, your mother gets depressed whereas you don't. It all depends how the listener receives and interprets the music.
