Dixie, L'il Darlin, I really like George Jones, too, but my all time favorite has to be Hank Williams. I remember the day, when I lived in California, that they announced his death. I was pretty young, but I remember the affect on my parents when they heard the news. I've been a fan of his music ever since. Don't like Hank, Jr., though, he's moved too far from real country.

I was at Vanderbilt hospital with My Bro-in-Law while he had a heart transplant, when George Jones wrecked his car and was nearly killed. You wouldn't believe the confusion and news trucks, and helicopters, and people there when that happened. Quite an experience. Also, I was a disappointed ticket holder to one of his concerts in Asheville. NC, when he was a no-show, and cancelled due to his drinking problem. That still don't take away from his being a great country music artist, though
