The lock button on my car key doesn't work. The unlock button works fine though...?

Question

I tried replacing the battery but that didn't work. Do I need a new key or is there some way to fix it?

It could be that your lock motor in your door has went bad.You also might want to look under the dash to see if a fuse has blown out. I mean a fuse that's in the wiring, not in the fuse box.

IT TAKE MORE POWER TO UNLOCK THAN TO LOCK. IF YOU HAVE CHANGED THE BATTERY THEN YOU NEED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER TO CHECK THE REMOTE AND THE RECIEVER FOR YOU CAR... THE COMPUTER... SHOULD NOT BE A BIG DEAL AND IT ONLY TAKE A FEW MINUTES.
