i have a heart rate of 89 is that normal for a 13 year old?

    Yes, it is absolutely great.

    Anything over 120 is worrisome but is usually when you are sick with a fever or have anything serious going on.

    Your heart rate can reach 120+ during exercise but that is an obvious reaction and is not a problem.

    Whenever I took my resting heart rate around that age, mine was always faster than the other kids also, like around 80-85, but I was just as fit and so it didn't make sense.

    Mine is a lot slower now, over 10 years on. It can depend alot on your age, your sex, your physical activity and your diet. If all of these seem to be within the normal range, and your HR is still high, I wouldn't stress. Stressing can make it faster! Just make sure you are fit and eat well and you should have nothing to worry about.

    Mine is 78 and I am way older than you. So you are unfit and in need of some practice. Good figure for you should be in the low 70's
