what makes a billionaire's business more successful than a small owner's business?

For example, Warren Buffet owns an investment company well there are other investment companies that dont match anywhere near Buffet's, why is that?

Beside having the basic skills of business, you also have good management skills and entrepreneurial skills as well. You have to think ahead of the crowd, do things differently, be motivated, never being satisfied with what's already been done, cut your own roads through life. Some businesses remain small because the owner desire it that way, while other just dont have their aspiration nor the fore-sight of becoming conglomerate on the world stage. Its really has to do mainly with the leader of that particular business - his or her ambition and intelligence.
