Will Al Gore give Obama the bump he needs?

It is reported that Al Gore will have an important role at the DNC Convention. Will he give Obama the 20pt bump he badly needs?

Update:

Here's the link. Dems seem to think he walks on water, but will it pull in the undecided? Or will he actually hurt the convention. Kerry's convention failed to give him a bump. The only high point was Obama's key note speech. On the other hand, Bush got a substantial rise in the polls and Kerry was never able to close the gap.

I hardly think Al Gore has any influence over the moderates, and independents needed for that bump.

He certainly would not win over any conservatives, even in the Democratic party! Gore is through with his man made global warming farce!

all of us who states that it fairly is a plus for McCain that Al Gore is endorsing Obama is ineffective incorrect. at first Al Gore has an excellent style of sway on many self sufficient and democratic electorate that are uncertain in the event that they are going to vote for Obama in November. For one Al Gore is a some distance cry from what he replaced into in 2000 and has touched tens of millions of lives in a favorable way vs. Bush who has ruined tens of millions of lives. no longer in easy terms that even nonetheless it gets an excellent style of Hillary supporters to decide for Obama through Al Gores connection with bill Clinton. Al Gore is a extensive plus thinking he in no way reported Kerry or the different presidential candidate for that be counted.

Maybe, if he wears his Nobel Prize medal and carries his Oscar. Libs love Al and still haven't gotten over the 2000 election. I know if he shows up and gives a speech, that will be the night I won't watch the convention.

Yes, not that he will need it he is a winner on his own but intelligent people love Al Gore. Who would be a match in the McCain convention he has not one intelliegent accomplished person on his side. Charlie Black is still an advisor. Lieberman who was against his own party & reminds people that McCain is stupid when he has to tell him facts. Yes, Gore will help get him into the landslide position but so will Clinton & so many others.

The convention is a big effort and includes a LOT of people. The idea is that the party leaders come together to support the nominee.

Obama is leading in nearly every poll. Why would he need a 20 pt bump?

    No.

The same 'rumor' was said about Clinton giving Obama a 'bump' too.

Obama has been doing just fine on his own to this point.

They should put a tree next to him on the podium so he can give it a hug or two.

Gore's a joke and America knows it.
