God’s word is a potent weapon against all evil. David himself "hid God’s word in my heart..."

    Psalms 119:11—

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

No, not really. In fact, not at all except when it's God's will when we act in obedience. We still have to suffer many things. And in our suffering we grow stronger spiritually so that we can understand and do more for the kingdom of God. God grants more gifts as we get stronger.

Yes - Isaiah 54:17: "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord."

I'd rather say that it's a precursor and has been for centuries.
