A problem is what you want to find out, eg 'What are the main causes of landslides?' or, 'How can landslides be prevented?'.

A hypothesis is never a question - it is a statement predicting (guessing) the answer to your problem, eg 'Heavy rain is the main cause of landslides' or 'Landslides can be prevented by planting trees'.

    Hope this helps!
