Ohio Is For Lovers - Hawthorne Heights

    Hey there,

I know it's hard to feel like I don't care at all.

Where you are and how you feel.

With these lights off as these wheels

keep rolling on and on. (and on and on and on...)

Slow things down or speed them up.

Not enough or way too much. (and on and on and on...)

How are you when I'm gone?

    [Chorus:]

And I can't make it on my own.

(And I can't make it on my own.)

Because my heart is in Ohio.

So cut my wrists and black my eyes.

(Cut my wrists and black my eyes)

So I can fall asleep tonight, or die.

    Because you kill me.

You know you do, you kill me well.

You like it too, and I can tell.

You never stop until my final breath is gone.

Spare me just three last words.

"I love you" is all she heard.

I'll wait for you, but I can't wait forever.

    [x2]

You know you do, you kill me well.

You like it too, and I can tell.

You never stop until my final breath is gone.

    (YOU...KILL...ME...WELL)

So cut my wrists and black my eyes.

    My final breath is gone

So I can fall asleep tonight

    (YOU...KILL...ME...WELL)

You know you do, you kill me well.

You like it too, and I can tell.

You never stop until my final breath is gone.

    Youth of the Nation- P.O.D.

Last day of the rest of my life

I wish I would have known cause I'd kissed my momma good-bye

I didn't tell her that I loved her or how much I cared

Or thank my pops for all the talks and all the wisdom he shared

Unaware I just did what I always do

Everyday the same routine before I skate off to school

But who knew that this day wasn't like the rest

Instead of taking the test I took two to the chest

Call me blind but I didn't see it coming

    And everybody was runnin

But I couldn't hear nothin, except

Gun blast, it happened so fast

I didn't really know this kid though I sat by him in class

Maybe this kid was reachin out for love or

Maybe for a moment he forgot who he was or

Maybe this kid just wanted to be hugged

Whatever it was I know it's because

We are, we are the youth of the nation

    We are, we are

    Youth of the nation

We are, we are the youth of the nation

    We are, we are

    Youth of the nation

Little Suzzie, she was only twelve

She was given the world with every chance to excel

Hang with the boys and hear the stories they tell

She might act kinda proud but no respect for herself

She finds love in all the wrong places

The same situations just different faces

Changed up her pace since her daddy left her

Too bad he never told her she deserved much better

Johnny boy always played the fool

He broke all the rules so you would think he was cool

He was never really one of the guys

No matter how hard he tried

    Often thought of suicide

It's kinda hard when you ain't got no friends

He put his life to an end they might remember him then

You cross a line and there is no turning back

He told the world how he felt with the sound of a gat

We are, we are the youth of the nation

    We are, we are

    Youth of the nation

We are, we are the youth of the nation

    We are, we are

    Youth of the nation

Who's to blame for the life that tragedies claim

No matter what you say it won't take away the pain

That I feel inside, I'm tired of all the lies

    Don't nobody know why

It's the blind leadin' the blind

Guess that's the way that the story goes

Will it ever make sense somebody's gotta know

There's gotta be more to life than this

There's got to be more to everything

    I thought exists

We are, we are the youth of the nation

    We are, we are

    Youth of the nation

We are, we are the youth of the nation

We are, we are the youth of the nation

We are, we are the youth of the nation

    We are, we are

    Youth of the nation

We are, we are the youth of the nation

    We are, we are

    Youth of the nation

    Youth of the nation

    Youth of the nation

Artist: Cash Johnny Song: Sunday Morning Coming Down Well, I woke up Sunday morning With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt. And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad, So I had one more for dessert. Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes And found my cleanest dirty shirt. Then I washed my face and combed my hair And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day. I'd smoked my mind the night before With cigarettes and songs I'd been picking. But I lit my first and watched a small kid Playing with a can that he was kicking. Then I walked across the street And caught the Sunday smell of someone frying chicken. And Lord, it took me back to something that I'd lost Somewhere, somehow along the way. On a Sunday morning sidewalk, I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned. 'Cause there's something in a Sunday That makes a body feel alone. And there's nothing short a' dying That's half as lonesome as the sound Of the sleeping city sidewalk And Sunday morning coming down. In the park I saw a daddy With a laughing little girl that he was swinging. And I stopped beside a Sunday school And listened to the songs they were singing. Then I headed down the street, And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringing, And it echoed through the canyon Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday. On a Sunday morning sidewalk, I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned. 'Cause there's something in a Sunday That makes a body feel alone. And there's nothing short a' dying That's half as lonesome as the sound Of the sleeping city sidewalk And Sunday morning coming down

In my opinion, I'd like to cast the vote for a very special band:

    The Bird and the Bee.

The song: The Last Day of Our Love

    Excerpts:

    "...on the first day

    how could we know

that ours was a love that would not last..."

"...there is nothing left to do or say

    we tried our very best

    and as we clear away

all the scraps of our happiness

i feel an ache in my chest..."

"...there is nothing left to save our love

    we cannot bring it back

    and as we clear away

all the scraps of our happiness

    it fades to black"

    Full lyrics in the sources.

It's a pleasant song to listen to as well. I don't relate it to myself, I'm happily married.

    But it's a good song!

I realise its an entire album but "The wall" by Pink Floyd has some seriously morbid stuff going on. And if you really want to get down on life try watching the movie. Its enough to make a clown cry.

    Don't Speak by No Doubt

    The Reason by Hoobastank.

    Merci!!!

Space Oddity. The only song I know that has the power to make me cry when I'm even the least bit upset.
