Do you ever mix gear oils of the same brand?

I mixed half mtl and half mt90 to get 75w-85.

Update:

mtl is 70w-80 and mt90 is 75w-90 for manual transmissions

Yep. No problemo. MTL stands for Manual transmission Light, and MT is Manual Transmission.

Same stuff, just different grades.
