What is superficial and what is authentic?

I'm sorry, but I strongly disagree with you:

don't have to mention any names.

Superficial: is when a person places all of their values

on material possessions and pretend to be something

and someone that they're not. Superficial friendships

are based upon one-sided relations. What can this person do for ME? What can I benefit from of this friendship/

relationship?

In other words, it's all a ruse.

Authentic is just the polar opposite. It means genuine;

real; free from impurities or ulterior motives. If a relationship

is bases upon authenticity; then everything and everyone are founded upon honesty and presented sincerely.

authentic just means it's by some particular person. Superficial is shallow, not a deep insight into something.

Authentic Is what you believe is worth value, superficial is the illusion that it has worth. A gold neckless from your dying grandpa would be authentic but one from sears is superficial

Superficial is someone who isn't 'deep', a shallow person.

Authentic is something that is real when compared against fakes.

The distinction is inauthentic. The question would be of no concern to someone who is perfectly congruent. This human unicorn doesn't exist. Stop looking and concentrate on more important matters, like baseball, and love.
