Because for so many generations stories/history were passed down orally. When cultures started to intermingle stories, beliefs, history were shared and in some instances interwoven into each culture. That is why we see such similarities not only in religion but it words, ethics, ideas, etc.

The supposed similarities between Jesus and pagan myths is a bunch of nonsense started by someone who had no knowledge of mythology whatsoever. Horus was born of two gods, neither of whom was a virgin. Mithras was born of a rock. Maybe it was a virgin rock, but it was still a bloody rock. The existence of deluge myths in other cultures actually lends credence to the core tale of a large-scale flood. It probably didn't cover the entire Earth, but it most likely did wipe out all life over a large territory. As for the "just so" nature of the Adam and Eve story, it is human nature to try to explain things we cannot understand. This is where myths come from. If you take a culture that already has a pre-existing mythology, and introduce them to a real God, naturally that culture will attempt to explain that God in terms of their pre-existing mythology.

Because they're all different perspectives on the same Creator.

Because the central truth in any religion is that we should treat others as we wish to be treated - you can extrapolate any religion you want from that first principle, just add the names of the shaman class and the deity.

Because the flesh and blood people we called gods then and do now built colonies of humans all over the world.

Well there always has been just One God, and He has always wanted the same thing. For us to again Become Like Him and Return Home. Be the Companion we were Created To Be.

Because people are obsessed with the unexplainable and death. We make up stories to help us out with them. And humans came up with these ideas.

because the "human experiance" is common to all... they just had different ways of explaining the things they didn't understand

Because god is too big to fit into one religion.
