Foundation: 1) choose a foundation that is shade or two darker than your normal foundation. Once under the lights it would look normal. Eyeshadow: 1) if you are young, bright blue eyeshadow is great for those with blond hair , pale or very dark skin. But you can use other colors besides just the standard light blue. Use dark neutrals, or olive greens. STAY AWAY from yellows and golds, unless it is to be used as an accent shade or base. 2) if you are older, don't use blue unless you have to. Use darker blues, such as navy or dark purple. Bright blue can still work as an accent, but I suggest using a a bit of dark eyeliner (black or dark brown) to counter it. Eyeliner: 1) if you are young, you may not need eye liner, but older girls should wear some. Black is an optional color. You can use colors in a dark plum, dark brown, or slate color. Try going for a Cateye look. It looks great on STAGE! Mascara: 1) you must wear mascara! 2) Black, or black/brown (if you want to keep it "neutral") 3) Electric blue, or purple, pink make a bold statement. 4) if you wear contacts, try using a waterproof mascara Blush: 1) Bright pink blush looks cute on young girls and a toned- but still bright- blush works well on older girls 2) try to stay away from blushed that are brownish. It doesn't enhance well under lighting, and tend to make you look "sick" Glitter: 1) if you are going to use GLITTER. make sure its from a GOOD MAKEUP BRAND. Lip Stick: 1) make sure its bright or very dark. (Bright pink, red/pink, maroon) 2) cover with a gloss, look for a tinted color gloss Powder: 1) make sure it matches the tint of the foundation REMEMBER TO GO OVER YOUR MAKEUP ROUTINE BEFORE THE RECITAL!
