VIRUS?! and POP-UP help! asap please.?

The other day my brothers friend went on my laptop and i think he has been on some sites with viruses on the internet. When i turned the computer on the next day i couldnt get on the internet because the screen just went white on the explorer page.

My tool bar keeps dissapearing but i know if you hold CTRL ALT DEL then add explorer again it comes back..

But after running a virus scan on 2 different programs only 1 picked up some problems but i cant use regcure because i dont have a license key and norton 360 aint picking thing up.

Last night while i tried to go on the internet again i found out that if i typed the link somewere then clicked on the hyperlink then i could go on the sites i wanted but then i realised pop ups started coming up some dirty ones, some about adult dating or isingles, some about online gaming and other things but i have popup blocker on but theyre still coming up..

How do i get rid?!

Antivirus products don't intentionally fight each other but they can interact.

I would suggest removing both and then using an only scan such as:

    Housecall: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/

    F-secure: http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml

    Onecare: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-US/center/howsafe....

I would avoid many of the scanners that are out there since they are often greyware or have other malicious effects.

Once they have cleaned up your system, I would pick a single good security solution. Kaspersky is good if you don't mind the endless warnings. It is nicely paranoid which I like in a security product. Many people like AVG though the detection rate is lower.

You might also want to consider creating a guest account for visitors where the account has very limited rights so that they can do less harm.

    Hope that this helps

This sounds precisely like the attack of malware that i latterly had on my 2d computing device. Malwarebytes have been given rid of the scamware that saved stoning up yet I nevertheless had problems with google seek hyperlinks getting redirected in my browser. This befell in the two Firefox and IE. i attempted each and every style of valid anti-secret agent ware kit yet none of them helped. i eventually tried something talked approximately as Combofix after examining posts on a communicate board the place many consumers had the comparable issue and glued it with that. It restarts your computing device and runs earlier the different courses have the possibility to commence so it could delete issues like rootkits that some AV kit cant get rid of. It stumbled on the secret agent ware that the different kit could no longer and my issues have been solved (which incorporate my lack of ability to hibernate that computing device).

If you have popups they may well be caused by malicious codecs which anivirus programs will not remove.

    Try the following:

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

Download, install, update and select Quick Scan

    Spybot S&D:

    Download, install, update and Immunize.

If you are running two virus scanners they will let things though as they are to busy fighting one another Get rid of one. Keep Norton 360 as it will work when you get rid of the other one.
