How do you pronounce the name "Iker" in Spanish?

I know this is a bit of a stupid question but I speak no Spanish whatsoever and I've been given a Spanish penpal called Iker. I have no idea how to pronounce his name, is it just how it would sound in English?

Thanks!

Update:

The first letter is i, not L.

I have no idea if it's actually a Spanish name, but he's definitely Spanish

    I'm spanish and this name is from the north, it is from el pais vasco, and you pronunce it as it is written

    i= i not a "e" or long e is just a "i" as in idiot.

    k=k pronunce as in key

    e= e as in send

    r= r this is kind a strong R

    it's easy in spanish you write as you speak

    bye

    It's a very unusual name in Spanish as well as English, but as Spanish is almost entirely pronounced as it is written, it would sound like 'ee-care' - with the emphasis on the 'care'. If possible, try to trill the r gently, but don't go over the top with the trill!

    Ee VOHN eh. But it's probably pronounced the French way: Ee VOHN (like the English Yvonne).

    Is The first letter an i or a l ?

    i have taken my spanish GCSE 2 years early and i have not heard a name like that.

    Perhaps eye-ker

    or it-ker

    or even la-ker

    The "i" always sounds like a long "e" so I think it would be something like Ee-kair.
