Miscarriages? What about the self-abortion of the conceptus during menstruation before pregnancy is detected? Nobody calls THEM miscarriages and 75% of all fertilized eggs - oh I 'm sorry "unborn babies" are flushed away with tampons in this manner. God's wonderful plan no doubt.

While we're at it why don't pro-lifers, to whom EVERY fertilized egg - oh sorry again "unborn baby" - is sacred, picket or even bomb the fertility clinics that dump thousands of 'em in the trash like they do the Planed Parenthood places?

Like I said - it never has been about the fetus. It's about keeping women pregnant and getting more worshippers. Nothing else can explain the logical inconsistencies of which unborn babies are sacred and which aren't.

Depend what the will of the person committing the action. For the most part miscarriages are not done by human will. But if they were, then it would be a form of abortion and would be wrong. Abortion is the will of a person to kill another person, that is intrinsically evil.

Abortion is not murder since "murder" is a legal term. But abortion may still be immoral for reasons that have nothing to do with God or gods.

Obviously, pro-life theists don't believe God is actively aborting fetuses anymore then he is actively taking the life of every elderly human who dies of "natural causes."

Are all deaths of people considered murder? I think not. Don't forget there are some people who die from illnesses or "natural causes." Some even choose to kill themselves.

To compare the death of a fetus via an involuntary miscarriage (sometimes called a spontaneous abortion) with a woman's intentional choice to terminate a pregnancy is simply illogical.

Abortion is murder because the mother and/or father choose to end the pregnancy by the means of torture and death for the child. Miscarriages aren't fetus slaughter because no one actually killed the child. Miscarriages happen because of nature, or because something happened inside the mother; they are not murders, even though the baby does die.

And so? If you are in a car accident, and you are the driver of one car, but the other driver gets killed, you believe that is manslaughter? ( if you crossed the centerline intentionally to hit the other car that would be murder )

And if you fall down the stairs and on the way you knock a woman over, breaking her neck and she dies, that is manslaughter? ( if you dove down the stairs with the intention of causing harm, that would be murder )

Your so-called "logic" misses the point that abortion is a deliberate act.

edit: women have been known to induce a miscarriage and in that case it would be murder, BUT try to prove that it was intentional. Almost impossible to prove.

Miscarriages occur naturally and spontaneously. Abortions are carried out by man.

Miscarriages are natural deaths, the same as someone who dies of natural causes after they're born.

your logic, is misguided and unimformed.

God is the giver of life, He gives it and he takes it. Why do you put your human self on the same level as God?

    miscarrages are unintended and lamented

abortions are intended, planned, willed and preventable killings of fetal humans, which is a definition of murder as far as i can see

Is there a difference between falling off a cliff and being pushed off?
