If you owned a 2008 Ford, would you rather have a 2008 Ford repair guide, or a 1932 Ford repair guide?
So why is it so hard for people to accept that we have better guides for living than a book that was written for people thousands of years ago?
Do you honestly think that civilization and people haven't made tremendous social, moral and ethical strides in the past few thousand years?
Plenty of you will chime in with, "well look at the horrors of society today... crime, STDs, murder..." Forgetting that everyday life was FAR more perilous and unpleasant in the past, could it be that the stubborn unwillingness to abandon an outdated code of living is what KEEPS these ugly features in our societies. It's pretty clear that the only place left in the world that is constantly at war, is warring over whose ancient religious ideology is the right one.
