I've worked on the psych ward for 33 years. Our patients have a variety of problems, but, basically, they're just like you or me. After all, the brain is just another part of the body. When something goes wrong with your brain and you become mentally ill, you see a doctor and probably are put on medication. Learn from your time in the office, but you're probably not going to see anything really incredible while you're there. The patients are being treated for whatever their problems are. I worry more about the people on the street who are 10 times crazier and refuse to get help. Think about that the next time you're out in the world.
