Who are the priests who defended Jose Rizal when he was still alive and how did they defend him?

    1. Fr. Sanchez - Rizal's teacher in Ateneo, defended and praised Noli in public.

    2. Rev. Vicente Garcia - a Filipino catholic priest, wrote a defense of the Noli which was published in Singapore.

    There are others who became his friends but didn't really defended Him.

    I don't know that they did. He had two priests trying to get him to return to the Church while he was still in Spain.

    Many of his supporters say that he didn't return to Catholicism before his death, and reports to the contrary are propaganda.
