I have had VERY good luck with Amazon.com and found them to be one of the most price competitive places on the web..... Cameras. Lenses. Accessories.. Even computer parts (but we all know they have a whole lot more).
Please, do YOUR home work 1st before shopping from the web. Don't be taken because your in a hurry or you find a place, like Uncle Johns Bargain Basement Camera Store and they "claim" to have the lowest prices - anywhere..
If your not sure of a camera's features or abilities, try www.dpreview.com - Digital Photo Review. A UK based site who gets NO kick backs for giving "favorable" reports on a camera or lens like some Photo Mags do... If it's crap, they will say so..! They too offer places to buy the equipment they review on, but do NOT sell anything themselves....
Be aware of - Grey Market - equipment. This is 'stuff' not intended for import into the USA and thus, has NO USA warranty. Oh, the supplier may say "we honor the warranty" but good luck here. Many may take months to do so.. and just isn't worth it. It's a gamble..!
I have 2 pro model cameras and a few lenses ordered thru Amazon and when I am ready for something new, I will order from them again unless I can find it local within a price spread that makes it worth it for I believe in supporting my local market as much as I can.
