With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

Make sure someone's bringing a tent or two, depending on how many people are coming. And just to be safe, bring a first aid kid. It's all fun and games until someone gets their ear cut off.

And fire making stuff...food, unless you're planning on starving. And that's pretty much all I can think of that you don't already have listed. So...good luck. By the way, something always goes wrong when you go camping, but that's half the fun.

What you take depends on several things, such as:

    1. Where you are going.

    2. What type of activities are you going to be doing, (swimming, hiking, boating, etc.).

    3. HOW you are getting to the site, (car, walk, horse, etc.)

As a minimum a GOOD knife, matches & 'firestarters', 1 full change of clothes and extra socks, unless in the desert a raincoat or poncho.

Food, unless you intend to 'live off the land'.

Almost everything else is optional, and depends on what you like and the answers to above 1-3.

Source(s): 1st trip had 80 lb pack, 60 years later carry about 10 lbs, UNLESS using vehicle to site(s).

You definitely want to take some bug spray. I don't usually take a lot of clothes...like for a weekend, 2 pairs shorts, and 2 shirts, and 1 pair of jeans. You'll want lots of water, at least a gallon per day. take firewood and kindling. Personally, I always take a fishing pole and bait. Do you have a tent? If so, take it! And don't forget your pillow! And if there's a lake, you'll want something for swimming, and a towel.

Aside from the obvious items, don't forget things like a lighter, rope, first aid kit, bug spray, and a camera. See the checklist below...it's got just about everything you'll need. Have fun.

A reclining fold down chair and a bottle of your favorite alcohol. Nothing ends the day better than sipping on your favorite drink while watching the stars.
