i am looking for a good science/astronomy magazine for my niece she is 6.?

or maybe a recommendation on some books for kids that could possibly brainwash her into becoming an astronomer. Thanks.

Check out your library. They would know of books and magazines that would be for her age group

That's pretty young to get much out of it besides the pictures, and I don't know of any specifically for kids, but I started getting Astronomy magazine when I was 10. Sky and Telescope is good too but a bit more technical and geared towards people with their own equipment.

Check out a local astronomy club as well - many of them hold monthly 'star parties' where you can look through their telescopes at planets and galaxies. A pair of her own binoculars and a planisphere would be good too - you can look for stuff together.

You also may want to consider the following:

    Muse magazine

    Odyssey magazine

    Ask magazine
