Does anyone else find it ironic that there is a country named TURKEY right next to a country named GREECE?

I think Cyprus should rename itself to "baked yams" and then we'd be set

    I don't find it so ironic and funny because , as the user above me said, the real names of these countries are Hellas (Ellas) and Turkiye.

    It's more strange the logic of the english people who gave these names to those countries. Because the english names have nothing to do with their real names.
