Will perforated ear drum then will it heal automatically??

I kept on hearing a screeching sound on my hear.. it's really getting annoying.. how long will it last? and i think I damaged my ear so will it heal within few weeks? or days?

    Are you sure you perforated your eardrum? Healing time, and whether it will heal on its own, depends on the size and location of the perforation. If it's small it could take a week, if it's large it could take a month. If it's a tear and not a perf. it could require (outpatient) surgery (called, tympanoplasty). If it's not better in a week, you should have a doctor look at it to make sure it is healing. In the meantime, don't put anything (liquid or solid) including q-tips in your ear, this could make the perf. worse.
