Best sweeney todd version?

What version is the best version, enjoyed the most... etc?

Put in order of loved to hated...

b)the play/stage version

    Play/stage version - the sentiment didn't base itself SO MUCH around the gore, as in the film - the gore in this was sort of arty and like Chicago, used red scarves as blood, which was effective. Also, Angela Lansbury makes a much better Mrs Lovett than HBC

    followed by the film - too much unnecessary gore. I mean of course there needs to be an element of horror, but it was just too much and a little too fake at times

    (havent seen the Winstone version but want to, I've heard it's pretty good)

    I've always liked the stage version. The film is pretty accurate with it...for the most part. The stage version has more emotion and of course, it's live theater- which is always better.
