Making text an 'object' in Adobe Illustrator?
After writing out some text with the type tool in Adobe Illustrator, how do i then transform it so that it has the properties of an object, so that each letter is on it's own.

Select or Highlight the text you want to make Objects and select 'Create Outlines' under the Text menu (Ctrl+Shift+O). If you've selected a block of text you'll have to 'Ungroup' after Creating Outlines to manipulate each letter or word separately.Source(s): Typographer and Desktop Publisher
