Some brands like to claim that their products are not tested on animals. However, that means the finished product - not necessarily the ingredients. For example most cosmetics contain paraffin wax or liquid in one form or another, and we only know that's safe because, years ago, someone poked it into a rabbit's eye. Vegan means that the product does not contain anything made from animals. Basically it means it doesn't contain lanolin which is a byproduct of the meat trade. They may well have tortured hundreds of kittens to death testing the stuff - it just doesn't contain any of them. I'd be very wary of anything said to promote particular products and brands. Advertising and public relations are designed to mislead. Most brands simply buy in stuff from overseas manufacturers and have no idea how or even whether the products are safe. Face it, if we can't be sure that "100% beef" doesn't contain horse, how can we be sure that "vegan, organic, kind to bunnies" face cream isn't made from the bodies of strangled puppies.

Hi
I think you should buy from the body shop - they are against animal testing so NOTHING is tested on animals.
They sell pretty much every product you will need, make up, shampoo, moistizer etc etc its all really good and smells lovely.
The make up lasts well too.
I personally totally love their lipstick, lip blams and body butter it smells soooo good.
