Champagne is a kind of sparkling wine as well. Originally, Champagne is a place in France. They have developed their unique method to brew this special kind of sparkling wine. Since they are so famous all over the world. They have restricted the people to name only the sparkling wine from Champagne as champagne. The sparkling wines from other regions cannot use the name champagne to call themselves.
Sparkling wine is a collective term to describe the wine with gas. In Germany, they call the sparkling wine as sekt and in Spain, they call it Cava.
