Can any LCD monitor be compatible with a DVI/ HDTV output? Im using a 8800 GT video card,?

is it based on the connector? or the LCD monitor should have a DVI output also

    If your monitor has a DVI plug, then you can use your monitor with your video card. You could also buy a DVI to VGA adapter if your monitor only has a VGA input, but the video quality will decrease.

    I have the same video card, and the 8800GT only has 2 DVI slots, and nothing else, so you will need to have a monitor that has a DVI connection

    Get that thing, its real cheap and will work good, they come with most video cards

    i have dual monitors, my graphics card has a vga and a DVI-I. u need a DVI-I to vga adaptor. you can get them at radio shack...bestbuy...places like that.
