Yes, I know that Strong side is the left end and weak is the right end, but what are the differences in actual responsibility?

Everyone is on target....most QB's are right handed...therefore making the defenses left the strong side. So strong side DE needs have great upper body strength and a nonstop motor to take on the tight end, pulling lineman, or lead blockers since that will be the prodominant side the offense will run to. As for the weak side DE this guy needs to have good speed, great footwork, and excellent pass rush moves. Because the offenses left side(or D's right side) for a right handed QB is his blind side....usually the offense will place their biggest bad *** Tackle there. Someone who is nastey, big, strong, and down right mean. His sole purpose in life is to NEVER allow anyone to touch his QB....not even the ref.

Weak side DE are on the side without a tight end and your responsibility is to block the right tackle and let the linebackers roam around. As for a strong side DE you have to block the tight end and cover him if possible. Some DEs are used as pass rushers and are required to go after the QB while others are used as "linemen" to block for the linebackers and disrupt the line of scrimmage and to shut down the o-lines blocking capabilities.

Strong and weak side have nothing to do with left and right. It is where the TE or the most WR line up in s 5 wide set. It can even be feild side or boundary side, but ut has nothing to do with left or right.

the strong side is usually the power house rusher, because you are being blocked by the tight end as well and there are usually more guys stacked on the strong side.
