I used to have the same problem. Do not use q-tips! It will make it worse because when you put a q-tip in your ear, you're actually pushing the wax in further. The best way to get the wax removed is to have a nurse/doctor do it. I've had them do it for me before and you can hear sooo much better afterwards! There's a couple different methods but for me, they put drops in my ear to loosen the wax and after a few minutes, they took a big suringe of luke warm water and shot it in my ear until all the wax flushed out. That works well but if it happens a lot and you can't always get to the doctor, there's a device you can buy at CVS that I found that helps. It's called an Ototek Loop, which is a pick that was designed by an MD/ear specialist, so it's safe to use. It's basically a pick with an ear guard (for safety so u don't injure your eardrum) and a tiny loop at the end of the pick and you scoop the wax out of your ear. It gets everything out without pushing the wax in further. Check it out on www.ototekloop.com
I've tried all kinds of products from drugstores and that's the only one that actually works (besides when a nurse does it for you). Oh btw, you said u don't have money- this ototek loop is inexpensive. It's cheap compared to all the other products on the market and you can wash and reuse it. Oh and i'm sure it's better than those ear candle things people above mentioned. It doesn't take 20 minutes and you can do it by yourself. It takes like 2 seconds.
I've had plugged up ears from ear wax a lot but i've fixed the problem.
