If John McCain passes away before convention who gets the nomination? If he passes away right before General?

Two part question:

1. If John McCain passes away before convention who gets the nomination?

2. If he passes away after the convention but right before the General Election then who gets the nomination?

    Before the convention the Republican delegates would just vote on someone else. After the convention they would probably pick the VP candidate that was chosen because being so close to the election wouldn't have time to consider anyone else.

    Should this happen before the convention, Lou Dobbs gets the nomination with Charley Reese as VP. After Charley Reese & Lou Dobbs would be the Republican Party ticket with Lou Dobbs the VP! You will see a Dobbs-Reese ticket or a Reese-Dobbs ticket! Either way, America may be on the come back trail with these two high-profile Americans!
