    It has been my experience that what most people refer to as a 'jerusalem cricket' is (at least in the U.S.) actually a mole cricket. I have dealt with mole crickets in my yards for more than 35 years and have never seen any evidence of toxicity.

    They have no pincers or fangs, so they pose no threat to humans or pets. I have never found them(mole crickets) to be destructive to plants or trees and very much defensless once exposed. It's easy enough to destroy them or move them.

    I'm open to better informed minds than myself.
